A Balanced Approach to Preschool in Fort Myers

At Rainforest Academy, we believe that a child’s early years lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Our curriculum is designed to nurture each child’s natural curiosity through play-based learning and structured activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth. With small class sizes and a personalized approach, we prepare children for the next steps in their academic journey while ensuring they feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.

Each of our classrooms is carefully structured to support developmentally appropriate learning at every stage. From our youngest explorers to those preparing for kindergarten, our programs blend creativity, social interaction, and academics to encourage a love of learning.

Programs at Rainforest Academy

We offer thoughtfully designed programs tailored to each stage of early childhood development. Our classrooms provide the right balance of structure, play, and exploration for growing minds.

Toddlers (12 months – 2 years)

Our toddler program nurtures curiosity and emerging independence. Activities include sensory play, music, movement, and age-appropriate social interaction. Classrooms are structured to promote communication, self-expression, and emotional growth.

K2 Program (2 years old)

Children begin developing routines and early learning habits. Teachers guide play with simple activities focused on colors, shapes, fine motor skills, and group play. Potty training support is also available.

K3 Program (3 years old)

K3 emphasizes language development, early literacy, and social skills. Children engage in hands-on centers that promote critical thinking, imagination, and cooperation. Partial potty training is required.

K4 Program (4 years old – VPK Eligible)

Our K4 curriculum prepares children for kindergarten with a balance of structured lessons and creative learning. Children explore math, early writing, phonics, and social-emotional development.

VPK Wrap-Around Care

We offer wrap-around care for children enrolled in the state-funded VPK program. This includes full-day supervision, activities, snacks, and enrichment beyond the VPK instructional hours.
